McArthys Red Stag Pub gets some 3D Printed Art

March 16, 2019

It's not everyday the owner of a local Irish pub asks for 3D Printed art for his restaurant! The owner approached us and wanted his logo extruded into 3D and then assembled onto the posts of his hand sculpted booths, that were made with real wood from Ireland. We were excited to take the project on as St. Patrick's day was right around the corner. The design process was simple enough, take the 2D logo, extrude it into 3D, import into TinkerCAD to modify it accordingly and finally create a cap to fit over the wood posts and screw it all down. Thanks to the larger print area on our BFP-ICARUS units, we were able to print the post cap and the red stag as a set, six times over for each post.
